Pay and request

Pay friends and family on avennd.

Send money to anyone on avennd by their @handle, and ask for money back after pizza night. Your family is always at the top of the list, because that’s who you pay most.

avennd opens soon. We’ll email you when it does.

How it works

Find them, then pay or ask.

Find them.

Type a name or an @handle. Your family comes first, then your friends, then people you’ve paid before.

Pay or ask.

Pay with Face ID. Or ask for money: they get a note and can pay you with one tap. Add a few words, like “Soccer camp.”

Or use your code.

Standing next to them? Scan their code, or show yours from My code. Everyone gets an @handle, and you can change yours.

Your @handle as a code to scan.
The first time you pay someone, avennd checks it’s them.

Friends

Add friends, so paying them is one tap.

Add a friend with their @handle or by scanning their code. Once they say yes, they’re in your list. You can ask family and friends for money. People you don’t know can’t send you requests.

Safety

Careful with every dollar that leaves your family.

Is this the right person?

The first time you pay someone outside your family, avennd shows their name, @handle and when they joined. You can send up to $100 until that payment goes through.

Face ID before money moves.

Every payment needs your face or your passcode. A kid’s payment waits for a parent to say yes.

A day to take it back.

Money you send usually arrives a day later. Until it does, a parent in either family can take it back.

Block and report.

Block someone, and you won’t find, friend, pay or ask each other. They aren’t told. Report them, and our team takes a look.

A pause after sign-in changes.

If your account gets a new way to sign in, or a new grown-up joins your family, paying people outside your family waits 3 days. That’s what someone who took over an account would try first.

Limits that keep mistakes small.

Up to $500 a payment and $1,000 a day. For kids, up to $100 a payment and $200 a day.

Kids

Kids can pay too, the way you choose.

Teens (13 to 17)

They can pay family and friends, and a parent says yes to every payment first. Nobody can find them by searching unless you turn it on. You see their friends, and you can remove a friend or block someone for them.

Kids under 13

They can send and get money only in your family. No one else can find them on avennd.

Pay the people you care about, without the worry.

Everyone you pay needs avennd too. Paying people is included in the price.
